I have charts on an external monitor and when I change the size, some of my charts disappear. I don't want to have to destroy my work space to get the charts back.

This also happens when you view a remote Ninja server ( RDP ) and you view with different computers running 'Remote Desktop Connection'

This more of a Windows problem than Ninja trader. You can have two work spaces, one for the external monitor and one without.

You can also bring the 'invisible' window back by moving to the current window. Make it active by clicking on it in the task bar, You may have to right click on a 'stack' if you have a lot of windows. Then press Alt+Space+m. This will select the menu item to "Move" the window to the current window. Use the arrow keys to move the window. You may have to guess a little bit to get it into view.
